Eve Nevar

Project Manager

I grew up in and around sports and have had the opportunity during my early career to turn my love for sports into my profession, working with various professional, collegiate and high school sports teams!

When I’m not working, I love to explore everything northeast Ohio has to offer – from parks to the best restaurants and ice cream shops. I’m always down for a cozy night in at my apartment with a home-cooked meal, my coziest PJs and a good chick flick.

Q&A with Eve

Tell us about your family

My roots are in the cornfields. My mom grew up in Iowa and my dad grew up right here in northeast Ohio! Ultimately, they ended up in Chardon, Ohio where I was raised. I have 3 siblings - Michael, Raquel and Sean. I’m number 3 out of 4. I’m lucky to have aunts, uncles and cousins around the country, which gives me an excuse to travel!

Do you have any pets?

I grew up with cats, Calvin and Hobbes, and recently adopted a kitten of my own named Ducky Momo (inspired by Phineas & Ferb). She came with the name Ducky, which I felt was fitting, it just needed more spice.

Where did you grow up?

I spent my first 12 years in Chesterland, Ohio and the next 6 in Chardon, Ohio!

What is the most ridiculous thing you believed as a child?

I’ll be honest, up until my senior year of high school, I thought grams of sugar in food meant literal grains. 24 literal grains. I was always a little confused as to why that was such a concern. I’ve since incorporated more fruits and vegetables into my diet.

What is your favorite holiday?

Fourth of July by FAR. My family has always done extravagant firework shows, and it's the one time of the year when my whole family is able to be together! I love the combination of warm weather, American pride, fireworks and backyard barbecue.

What are you passionate about?

Youth sports is a recent passion of mine. I’ve enjoyed coaching both hockey and soccer! It allows me to stay active within my busy schedule.

What is your favorite random fact?

Don’t fact-check this, but I’ve heard that goats have accents based on their region, just like people do.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

Wavin’ Flag by K’NAAN. (Shoutout to the World Cup that one time for introducing me to the song.)

What emoji do you use most often?

🤸. S-tier emoji.

What movie could you quote by heart?

Probably none. I usually fall asleep when I watch movies 🙃.

What is your favorite snack?

Depends on the time of day. In the afternoon, white cheddar Cheez-Its. Late at night, ice cream.

Why did you pick this profession?

It allows me to work with all sorts of people and industries. I love learning about new people all while working toward a common goal or project. For this role specifically, I love the opportunity to be incredibly organized to the benefit of PEG as a whole!

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

DAY TRIPS! It gives me an excuse to put on a cute outfit and hit the town. Catch me at the best shops and restaurants.

If you did not work in this industry, what field would you pursue?

Probably real estate. I have some family that are realtors and, while it's a demanding field, they’ve met so many cool people and seen so many cool homes!

What skill would you most like to learn?

I need to learn how to do a cartwheel, but if that’s not an option I’d settle for learning how to sew or knit or crochet (whichever is the most practical).
