Hey everyone and welcome to another edition of Lights. Camera. Answers. I'm Jeffrey Pritt with PEG.

A question we get all the time is "Do I really need professional voice-over talent?" I see it on my quote. Can't we just have somebody record it at my office with a smartphone, can't somebody at PEG just record it? But there's a lot of reasons we use professional voice-over services.

One of the first reasons being variety. By utilizing a professional voice-over service you can have access to samples of different voices and different tones that you can select before saying "this is the person I want to record my voice over." Then once they're actually in the booth whether that be locally or remotely, you're able to have an active dialogue with them to modify tones to make sure they annunciate everything right, to make sure it just fits the overall look and feel of your video, that you like it and it's exactly what you have in your head.

One of the other reasons is, of course, quality. Frankly, you're not going to get the same quality with your smartphone in your office or here at PEG, you know, next to a desk, as you're going to get if you just ultimately get into a VO booth with professional sound installation. Pair that up with the professional talent and you're gonna have a winning combination. At the end of the day, it's worth the money to put that last step in place to get your video and product looking exactly how you wanted to, with the exact audio you wanted.

You can catch more content like this in our social media channels our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, all the normal spots. And we'll catch you next time on another episode of Lights. Camera. Answers.
