5 Things We've Been Watching: October 2018

5 Things We've Been Watching : October 2018

We love video here at PEG (obviously) and talk about it pretty much non-stop. So, we wanted to share with you five things that caught our eye, started a conversation or gave us a little inspiration over the last month.

Disney - The Magic of Animation

Watch It Here Why it’s a thing: In this video, kaptainkristian walks through the 12 Principles of Animation from a 1981 book of Disney Animation by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. kaptainkristian takes you through each Principle with visual examples from all your favorite Disney classics. You learn about how concepts like "Squash and Stretch", "Anticipation" and "Staging" are used to bring even the most basic drawings to life. These 15 minutes fly by. We wish it was longer!

Blue Jackets Intro Video Behind-the-Scenes

Watch It Here Why it’s a thing: Post House Creative did a pretty cool behind-the-scenes video of their shoot for the Blue Jackets Open Video. Not a super traditional behind-the-scenes, which is why we like it! Plus, the intro is pretty cool, too - check that out here. (Obviously, we are suckers for a narrative-based hockey intro video...)

i didnt want to like it. GoPro 7; GREATEST EVER.

Watch It Here Why it’s a thing: Casey Neistat gives his initial thoughts on the newly released GoPro HERO7 Black, which is the best GoPro out there. He talks to the founder and CEO of GoPro about the new features and gives some great side by side demos - all while mountain biking and playing in a water park. You know, all the usual Casey Neistat stuff.

Netflix to let viewers choose endings of shows like 'Black Mirror'

Read About It Here Why it’s a thing: This technology is pretty crazy. It totally takes you back to the days of "choose your own adventure books, but with episodes of TV shows. Not only does it allow for the interactivity that users love, it also boosts repeat views by letting viewers see multiple options, not just one. As creators, we can't wait to see what else this tech can do!

The Next Generation of Creativity | Adobe Max 2018 Keynote

Watch It Here Why it’s a thing: Adobe Max is a huge conference each year that shows all the new features of the Adobe Creative Suite - which most creatives, including us, use every day. This keynote is long, yes, but packed full of fun updates to the software and cheaper than being there. (And this seat has a better view!)
