My Creative Inspiration: Emily
As an Account Manager, I may not be an official part of the creative team here at PEG, but official or not, everyone on our team is open to hearing any and all ideas. Now, are they all successful? Unfortunately, no. But, luckily, we all share a common goal of bringing our client’s vision to life, which means no one's creative ideas are off the table. Whenever I need to overcome a creative block, here are a couple ways that help me unleash my creative inspiration:
My Best Creative Ideas Come at Night
If I need a little creative inspiration, I just go to bed. Yes, you read that right. My best ideas come to me during the night but, if I don’t write it down, then I won’t remember it in the morning! This is why the Notes app on my phone is crucial when I wake up in the middle of the night with a possible bright idea! Apparently, this is no surprise to Neuroscientists who study the human brain’s sleep cycles. I highly encourage you to check out this fun and interesting article about creative sleeping.
When In Doubt, Pinterest
When I am not creating in my dreams, I find myself scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram to fuel my creativity. While these ideas aren't my own, they definitely spark new ideas that I wouldn't have thought of before. I have learned that when I surround myself around creative people and ideas, the more my creative doors open. Whether it's in my dreams or the creative people I am surrounded myself with, like our team here at PEG, I am always searching for new ideas to add to my Notes app! What do you use to get inspired? And where do you write down your creative ideas? Let me know!
